The iconic Gfeller Trub phone was fashioned from a single piece of hardwood and available in three grains; Rosewood, Cherry and Maple. This example is Rosewood.
Originating from the Gfeller company of Switzerland in the early 70's, the Gfeller Trub achieved cult status in the late 1980s, especially in the UK with most now hidden away in private collections. The Trub phone has been entered into the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS) in Australia in recognition of its enduring design and unique use of materials.
